受难周

This week is Holy Week 圣周/ 受难周 and this consist of 濯足日(Maundy Thursday)& 受难日(Good Friday)。

Today is 濯足日(Maundy Thursday）commemorates the Last Supper of Jesus Christ with the Apostles. It is the fifth day of Holy Week, and is preceded by Holy Wednesday and followed by Good Friday.

On this day four events are commemorated:
1) The washing of the Disciples' Feet by Jesus Christ,
2) The Lord's Supper / Last Supper - a Christian sacrament considered by many to be, by consecrating bread and wine, a commemoration of the Last Supper, the final meal that Jesus Christ shared with his disciples before his arrest, and eventual crucifixion, when he gave them bread saying, "This is my body", and wine saying, "This is my blood.",

3) The agony of Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane,
4) And the betrayal of Christ by Judas Iscariot.


许多教会都特别重视受难周；尤其是受难周星期四的濯足日(Maundy Thursday)或现在很多教会也干脆把这天称为受难节前夕，一般上许多教会都有受难节前夕圣餐崇拜或祷告会。因为这一晚上，也是当年耶稣与门徒一起用所谓最后一次的晚餐（圣餐）和为门徒洗脚，及鼓励门徒要彼此相爱和谦卑互相服事（约13:1-35)。今天许多教会在这一天晚上举行圣餐，那就是透过与上帝复合的圣礼，强调耶稣基督牺牲之爱和人需要悔罪才能重新和上帝建立关系。
